FOOTBAL LOVERS!! What Is Champions League Without Bayern Munich & Chelsea?

Villarreal dumped Bayern Munich out of the Champions League on Tuesday, Samuel Chukwueze’s 88th-minute strike at the Allianz Arena giving the Spaniards a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their quarter-final tie that took them through 2-1 on aggregate.

Robert Lewandowski had put Bayern ahead on the night to level the tie on aggregate after Villarreal’s 1-0 first-leg win, and extra time loomed until Chukwueze struck. The result means Bayern Munich exit the Champions League in the quarter-finals for the second year running.

Villarreal are into the semi-finals for the first time since 2006 and will play either Liverpool or Benfica in the last four.

On the other hand, Real Madrid has dumped title holders Chelsea out of the Champions League 5-4 on aggregate in a thrilling quarter final despite losing the second leg 3-2 in extra time

Having lost 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, the Blues were 15 minutes away from pulling off a staggering comeback when Timo Werner made it 3-0 in the 75th minute in Madrid.

But Real Madrid’s 36-year-old midfielder Luka Modric showed his immense technical ability with a sublime pass that teed up Brazilian substitute Rodrygo to level the tie on aggregate in the 80th minute.

And in extra time, it was 34-year-old French forward Benzema who ended Chelsea’s fightback with a thunderous header, having scored a hat-trick that included two superb headers in the first leg.

They will next face either Manchester City or rivals Atletico Madrid in the last four.
