EPL: I Will Leave Man City In Two Years – Guardiola Confirms
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has announced he will leave the club in 2023.
Guardiola’s contract will expire in two years and he wants to go into international football.
The 50-year-old has been in charge at the Etihad since 2016.
Since that time, he has won the Premier League three times, while there are high hopes he can end the club’s wait for a Champions League triumph.
Leaving in the summer of 2023 would mark seven years in charge of the English club.
The 50-year-old said he would ‘take a break’ from football at that stage, with a move to international management on the cards.
“A national team, yes. Next step will be a national team, if there is a possibility. A national team is the next step.
“I must take a break after seven years (at City). I need to stop and see, learn from other coaches, and maybe take that path.
“I would like to train for a European Championship, a Copa America, a World Cup,” he said at an XP Investimentos event, as reported by Globo on Wednesday.
