The NCC supervisor further encouraged all partners to help the 5G undertaking in Nigeria.
Leader Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Umar Danbatta, on Thursday, uncovered that the starting of the fifth-age innovation (5G) would occur in August this year.
Mr Danbatta spread the word about this for columnists at the 90th version of Telecom Consumer Parliament facilitated by the Consumer Affairs Bureau of the Commission in Lagos.
“The Commission has set out the administrative instruments required for quick arrangement of the new flexible innovation to support the customers and the partners,” said Mr Dambatta.
The NCC supervisor further encouraged all partners to help the 5G venture in Nigeria to guarantee that the innovation is sent in the country in a way that would be gainful to all telecom clients.
Mr Danbatta added that the arrangement of the innovation would reinforce the Digital Economy Policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
In December 2021, MTN Nigeria and Mafab Communications Ltd won the bid for the 3.5GHz range in a closeout. The organizations gained each parcel of 100 MHz TDD for $273.6 million.
Mr Dambatta affirmed the team will proclaim the country’s 5G stage
“We will keep on teaming up with partners across areas to guarantee quicker arrangement of 5G administrations, and speed up the development of Nigeria’s broadband framework,” he guaranteed.
This advancement comes after one tech business person Elon Musk, on May 30, declared through his Twitter handle that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given Internet Service Provider (ISP) permit to his firm, Starlink, to work quick network access in Nigeria
