OMG!! Four Dead As Kano-Bound Bus Plunges Into River In Kogi
A 18 seater transport has dove into the Black River a feeder to River Niger in Koton karfe, Kogi State, killing four of its tenants.
The mishap happened around 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Solomon Agure, the state Sector Commander of the FRSC, who affirmed this said the transport with enlistment number Plateau – JJN 73 XA, took off from Ijora Seven Up under connect in Lagos and was going to Kano.
As per Agure, four individuals, including a lady, kicked the bucket in the mishap while seven others were basically harmed.
The driver was said to have failed to keep a grip on the vehicle in the wake of working off.
The state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Suleiman Mafara, said in the wake of getting a misery call, his men related to FRSC authorities and volunteer jumpers made a beeline for the scene.
He said four bodies have as of now been recuperated and 13 others were protected alive while one individual couldn’t be represented.
He added that his men and other Security staff were attempting to recuperate the main individual yet to be represented.
He said that the recuperated bodies have been kept at a funeral home in Lokoja.
He sounded a note of caution to drivers and suburbanites to hold fast stringently to the street security rules to stay away from preventable street disaster on the expressways.
